Plastic ban of New Zealand
Since October 1, the New Zealand plastic restriction order has been extended, and more plastic products are no longer allowed to appear on the market.
List of items covered by the latest ban:
The following products cannot be sold, manufactured or given away to customers
*Polystyrene takeout packaging for food and beverage
*Expanded polystyrene food and beverage retail packaging (such as foam takeaway containers or some instant noodles cups).
*PVC food trays and containers for meat, agricultural products and baked goods
*Plastics containing additives (to differentiate them into microplastics)
*Disposable plastic beverage mixer
*Disposable plastic cotton swab
The latest ban has a greater impact on small businesses, such as small businesses of fast food takeout.
